Three people were died while more than 70 police personnel suffered injuries in violence that broke out in Bengaluru on Tuesday night after a mob attacked a Congress MLA's house over a communally sensitive facebook post allegedly by the MLA's nephew. The mob created a ruckus, setting the police station and MLA's house on fire. 110 others have been arrested. Meanwhile, section 144 has been imposed in Bengaluru.
On Wednesday morning, the whole picture of last night incident was cleared in the light that trains have been burnt here, ATMs vandalized. Apart from attacking the MLA's house, the houses of nearby people were also attacked, due to which the windows of people's houses were also broken.
Curfew has been imposed in the violence area, which will remain till 12 pm tonight. After that, a decision will be taken in view of the situation. Tensions simmered over a Facebook post that made offensive remarks about a community. However, the MLA's nephew later posted that his account had been hacked and that he would file a complaint.
