There has been a case of data leakage of about 2 crore users of BigBasket, a company selling online grocery stores. According to cyber intelligence company Cyble, the data has breached the details of about two crore customers of BigBasket. The company has lodged a complaint with the Cybercrime Cell in Bangalore about this and is investigating the claims made by cyber experts.
Cyble has said that a hacker has allegedly put BigBasket data for sale at Rs 30 lakh. Cyble said in the blog that "During regular monitoring of the Dark Web, Cyble's research team found that BigBasket's database is being sold in the cyber crime market for $40,000." The SQL file size is around 15 GB with data from about 2crore users. It says that the data includes name, e-mail ID, password hashes, contact number (mobile phone) address, date of birth, location And IP address.
