Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) that Sri Lankan spinner Akila Dhananjay has been allowed to resume bowling in international cricket. Dhananjay was banned for a year in August due to suspected bowling action.

Dhananjay's bowling action was reported on 29 August 2019 in the gaul test against New Zealand.
Due to the Covid-19 investigation into the ICC-accredited center was not possible, Sri Lankan cricket had sent footage of his bowling action.
"The panel of experts looked at the video footage of Dhananjay and the panel admitted that his elbow was bowling in the 15 degree range while bowling," the statement said.
